Useful guidance, transparent limits.
How we prepare, review and correct calculator explanations and seller guides.
Who is responsible
Content is prepared and maintained by the Refund or Return Editorial Team. We use an organizational byline because this is a small independent publishing project, not the work of a claimed licensed professional. We do not invent credentials or present educational material as legal, tax or accounting advice.
Originality and purpose
Every page is written for a specific ecommerce returns decision. Guides must add a distinct framework, worked example, checklist or operating method; they may not merely restate a calculator formula or reproduce a third-party article. We do not publish mass-generated pages designed only to target search phrases.
Calculation review
Calculator logic is documented in plain language, tested at boundaries and checked against worked examples. When a formula changes, its field labels, examples, methodology and related explanation are reviewed together. The current protocol appears on our methodology page.
Sources
When a guide discusses regulation, platform requirements, privacy or established definitions, we prefer government, regulator, standards-body and first-party documentation. External links support context; they do not imply endorsement. Operational frameworks and numerical examples remain our own unless clearly attributed.
Commercial independence
No carrier, marketplace or return-software provider sponsors calculator results. Advertising, if enabled, does not determine topics, formulas, conclusions or external links. We clearly label any future paid relationship or affiliate link.
Review dates
Each guide displays a reviewed date. A review checks links, terminology, calculations and material assumptions. A new date is applied only after review, not automatically.
Corrections
Readers can report a suspected error through our contact page or email refundorreturn@gmail.com. We reproduce calculation reports, check the published formula and correct affected pages together.
Scope and limitations
We provide educational planning tools. Sellers remain responsible for customer rights, tax treatment, marketplace terms, warranties, product safety, fraud procedures and professional advice appropriate to their jurisdiction.
