Our purpose
Returns are often evaluated using only the refund amount, even though shipping, labor, depreciation and inventory recovery can materially change the outcome. We build calculators and guides that expose those components in a simple, auditable breakdown.
Who creates the content
Pages are prepared and maintained by the Refund or Return Editorial Team. We use an organizational byline because this is a small independent publishing project. We do not claim professional legal, tax or accounting credentials. Our role is to make operational arithmetic understandable, identify assumptions and direct readers to qualified advice when a decision depends on law, tax or contractual terms.
How calculators and guides are prepared
Each tool begins with a documented formula and named inputs. Worked examples are calculated independently and compared with tool output. Guides must address a distinct decision and add practical steps, examples, checklists and relevant sources rather than repeat calculator copy. Why we publish these resources
The site exists to help sellers make a clearer operational estimate before deciding how to handle a return. Content is not produced to promote a carrier, marketplace or refund provider, and calculator results are not adjusted to favor a commercial partner.
Our principles
